I am weirdly fascinated by this site…these are some of the coolest stairs I’ve ever seen.

  8. QED Says:

The style is unique, but mostly they are useless and dangerous for the majority of people.

  9. Александр Says:

    the stairs are simly amazing!

  10. Aaron Says:

Its just amazing to think of the designs that are out there. The stairs with drawers or bookcases are the best. Would be a great space saver.

These are some pretty slick stairs :)
    But more art than functional.
Imagine trying to get up the ones with alternating steps when you’re drunk or coming down them in the morning :P

So creative! Usually taking the stairs up or down is just necessary, most often boring. These stairs are most apprecaited I would surmise by the young and old alike which share a bright, confident, inventive, whimsical joy of life.

Many of these staircases are beautiful but many are very dangerous. It’s useful to ask if you would want your grandmother going up or down one – particularly down.I’ve expedienced two of the alternating step variety. They are mostly used where theres not enough space for ordinary stairs. They are very unpleasant to come down – OK for going up though.

  14. Matt Says:

That is just awesome – I want every single one of these in my house

  15. Mike Says:

How do drunk people get up and down these things?

Wow. To the person that said “How do black people get up and down these things?”, that was incredibly racist. But I still can’t help from laughing.

  22. CG Says:

PHOTOSHOPPED!!! This is total bullshit. I checked the pixls and the lines and its seriously FAKE.

  23. Anonymous Says:

    CG you are a moron.
i’ve seen some of these designs in person and they are way tight, and real, not photo shopped. however like everyone else says, incredibly hard to walk down on.
they’re very artsy and mod though, i wouldn’t mind having them in my dream house, just as long as i wouldn’t have to travel up and down on them. hahaha.

  24. Anonymous Says:

lol, i’m black, and even I’m laughing at that comment positively brimming with the true essence of humour. But seriously ima find dat punk in a dark alley…. an u kno da rest.

I love to see architects and builders putting style into their work. Even on something as mundane as stairs it is important to make things beautiful. Though the ones without rails are dangerous and probably wouldn’t pass inspection in most American cities.

The best examples are those that have storage underneath. These designers are keeping the homeowner in mind. Storage is perhaps the most overlooked need in personal housing.

  29. Amar Says:

I wonder how the architects come up with these ideas!! hats off to them
